We take a look at the crystal ball for 2012 and have talked to GASA GROUP’s Sourcing Manager, Lars Peter Hermansen. Here he gives his top three predictions for product categories that will set the pace in 2012.

 

PERENNIALS
Customers see perennials as a valuefor-
money segment. The product entails
a higher degree of involvement
and offers “perennial” joy.

 

EDIBLES
Our edible product range of herbs
and vegetables for window sills, balconies
and gardens will see demand
increase, spurred by consumer interest
in self-sufficiency, sustainability
and urban gardens.

 

OUTDOORS
Plants in large tubs for the terrace
will see rising demand as consumers
are looking for a few, but handy and
elegant solutions.
